Surgery is only the first step. Recovery determines how well you regain movement and strength.
If multiple Symptoms feel familiar, assessment helps
After surgery, tissues need movement to heal properly.
Inflammation & Swelling
Normal healing response that needs management
Muscle Inhibition
Muscles may temporarily weaken after surgery
Joint Stiffness
Reduced mobility due to immobilisation
Reduced Load Tolerance
The body needs gradual reloading to rebuild strength

Without structured rehab, stiffness, weakness, and movement compensation may delay full recovery.

Recovery isn't rushed. It's carefully progressed to protect healing tissues while rebuilding strength.
We assess healing stage, restrictions, pain levels, and medical guidance.

Answers to common questions about your recovery
Post-operative rehabilitation is a structured physiotherapy program designed to restore strength, mobility, and function after surgery. It focuses on reducing pain and swelling, protecting surgical repairs, and gradually rebuilding movement.
The timing depends on the type of surgery and your surgeon's protocol. In many cases, physiotherapy begins within a few days after surgery to prevent stiffness, reduce swelling, and support safe recovery.
Post-operative physiotherapy is commonly recommended after ACL reconstruction, knee replacement, hip replacement, spinal surgery, shoulder repair, and other orthopedic procedures.
Recovery time varies based on the surgery and individual healing response. Minor procedures may require a few weeks, while major joint or spinal surgeries may require several months of structured rehabilitation.
Mild discomfort can occur during rehabilitation as movement is restored, but therapy is carefully progressed to protect healing tissues. The goal is controlled recovery — not aggressive strain.
For certain stages of recovery, guided home-based or online physiotherapy can be effective. However, early stages after major surgery may require in-person supervision for safety.
