FAQs

FMS, or Functional Magnetic Stimulation, uses pulsed magnetic fields to stimulate nerves and muscles and produce targeted muscle contractions. It is non-invasive and used alongside exercise as part of your physiotherapy plan.

The applicator generates a pulsed magnetic field that passes through clothing and skin without surface electrodes. The field stimulates the nerve supplying a muscle, producing a contraction that you cannot always produce voluntarily after injury or surgery.

No. Most people feel a tapping or pulling sensation as the muscle contracts. The intensity is adjusted to stay comfortable for you, and nothing is inserted or applied to the skin.

It is used for muscle weakness and inhibition after injury or surgery, lower back and postural weakness, neurological rehabilitation including foot drop, pelvic floor weakness, and strength work during sports rehabilitation.

Most conditions respond within 8 to 12 sessions, though this depends on your diagnosis and how long the weakness has been present. Your physiotherapist will share an expected timeline after the first assessment.

FMS Therapy is available at both Vyana clinics in Ahmedabad — Navrangpura and South Bopal — Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 8 PM. Every session starts with a physiotherapist assessment so the treatment is matched to your condition.
